Our Story

Riverview Diner opened its doors in May 2004 under the leadership of restaurant owner, Eleno Silva. Originally from Durango, Mexico, Silva immigrated to the United States and later began to learn the restaurant business as a dishwasher. He worked his way up at the original Mitchell’s Restaurant in Chicago where he discovered his passion for cooking and serving American fare.

On May 16, 2010, the Sun-Times media honored him as the reader’s choice with the Best of American Cuisine Award.
